Alfonso "Poncho" Pandura Villarreal

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Alfonso “Poncho” Villarreal Pandura. He passed away at his home on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the age of 69.

Alfonso was born on October 12, 1955, in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, México, and was the eldest of four children. He graduated from the University of Sonora on October 2, 1979, with a degree in industrial engineering. He later met the love of his life, Marisela Velásquez, made his home in Nogales, AZ, and together they raised their two children: Paola Villarreal and Alfonso Villarreal Jr.

 Alfonso loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, watching his favorite soccer team Cruz Azul, playing tennis, snacking on galletas Marias, and drinking coffee at McDonald’s with friends. He is survived by his wife, daughter, son, grandchildren, and siblings; as well as family and friends who love him dearly and mourn his loss.

 Con profunda tristeza, compartimos el fallecimiento de nuestro amado esposo, padre y abuelo, Alfonso “Poncho” Villarreal Pandura. Falleció en su hogar el viernes 22 de agosto de 2025, a la edad de 69 años.

Alfonso nació el 12 de octubre de 1955 en Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, México, y fue el mayor de cuatro hijos. Se graduó de la Universidad de Sonora el 2 de octubre de 1979 con un título en ingeniería industrial. Conoció al amor de su vida, Marisela Velásquez, se estableció en Nogales, Arizona, y juntos criaron a sus dos hijos Paola Villarreal y Alfonso Villarreal Jr.

Le encantaba pasar su tiempo con sus hijos y nietos, viendo a su equipo de fútbol favorito, Cruz Azul, jugando tenis, comiendo galletas Marías y tomando café en McDonald's con amigos. Le sobreviven su esposa, hijos, nietos, hermanos, demas familiares y amigos, quienes lo aman profundamente y lamentan su pérdida.
