Alicia A Castillo

Alicia Ayala Castillo, a beloved matriarch and woman of faith, began her eternal journey peacefully to heaven on March 2, 2026. Alicia was born in Nogales Arizona on July 20, 1938 to Evaristo Ayala and Yrene Reyes Ayala.

Alicia's life was intricately woven with love, faith and devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.Alicia was the pillar and heart of her family.

On February 13, 1960, She began her journey as a loving faithful wife to Roberto Castillo.Together they raised five children, Anna, RJ, RD, Pat and Marco.In the early 1970's Alicia began working for Citizens Auto Stage as a school bus driver for about 18 years.Alicia had many extraordinary talents, she had a special gift for sewing and creating beautiful costumes and clothing for family, friends and the community.Alicia's faith was her compass. Even after losing her eyesight completely.She was devoted to God, her spirit was brightened by listening to mass daily and praying the rosary. She began making rosaries and would gift them to family, friends and whoever crossed her path. Alicia was a shining example of love and resilience.She is predeceased by her husband Roberto Castillo, her father Evaristo Ayala, her mother Yrene Reyes Ayala, four sisters and two brothers.She is survived by her 5 children, Anna Villa,Robert (Belle) Ricardo(Gloria) Patricia ( Kico) Sanchez, and Marco (Mindy).18 grandchildren,20 great grandchildren.In this moment of sorrow, we honor a selfless remarkable woman who radiated love, faith and perseverance throughout her life. Alicia will be profoundly missed but cherished in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
