Guadalupe A Sainz

Maria Guadalupe Aranda Sainz died Thursday September 14, 2023 at her home in Nogales, Arizona, surrounded by her children. Lupita, as she was affectionately known, was born to Tomas and Guadalupe Aranda on February 29, 1932. She was married to Francisco F. Sainz a World War II veteran who served with the legendary Bushmasters, who preceded her in death. She graduated with honors from Nogales High School and became an accomplished self-made accountant in the produce industry. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was involved in religious education and preparatory confirmation. She was also a Eucharistic Minister, a lector and priest assistant. She was also a member of Catholic Daughters and active in American Business Women’s Association.

She is survived by her children Francisco (Barbara), Maria Elena Nguyen (†Tuyen), Carlos (Robin), Maria Guadalupe, and Rosanna (Jerry)Hernandez. She is also survived by her sisters Teresa (†Manuel), Josephina (Roberto), Cecilia (Roger), Carmen (Larry), Margarita (†Kent) and by three brothers, Thomas (Shirley), Roberto (Theresa), and Ricardo (Loraine). She was preceded in death by her husband Francisco, her son Ricardo, her granddaughter Sayde Jane and her brother Luis (Eileen). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren 18 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews.

She honored us by the manner in which she lived her life: we will never forget her nor the last time we saw her before she slipped away and touched the face of God.
