Mariaesther Yañez, favorably and tenderly known as Miss Yañez to many, passed away surrounded by her loving family after a battle with complications from lupus. Her contribution to the lives of her family, friends, co-workers and beloved students will never be forgotten and will forever be cherished. Miss Yañez has been a teacher at Sacred Heart Catholic School for 20 years. Her faith and love towards her profession and her students along with her undoubted example of Catholic values has made her a role model for children and adults alike. A primary role she had was to prepare students for Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. The way that Miss Yañez communicated messages of God’s love to her students was inspiring. She was truly blessed with the gift of teaching.
Mariaesther is survived by her mother Hilda Yañez, her siblings, Claudia, Abraham (Lillian), Ernesto (Sherrie), Juan and Isaac. She is also survived by her precious nieces and nephews, Karizma, Juan, Alexa, Camila, Abraham, Sophia, Elias and Santiago. She was predeceased by her father, Abraham Yañez and her brother Alberto.
Mariaesther will forever be remembered as a loving and caring individual who loved and cared for all those around her and above all, GOD. She loved ladybugs, adventures with her nieces and nephews, good pizza, good books, tequila and so much more. SHE LOVED LIFE.
