Raul L. Lopez
Our father was a very patient man, he loved and cared for us, and his essence will never be matched. We will honor him in every way we can, continuing with this obituary to give a brief description of his life and accomplishments. Born February 25, 1935 in Nogales Sonora, Mexico he was one of twelve siblings to his late mother Refugia Landavasso de Lopez and late father Alberto Lopez. Raul Lopez was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, and neighbor. He was in the U.S military, he was a firefighter for many years, he repaired saxophones as a professional for some time, and a baker in his young adult years. We will forever remember him as an amazing father and grandfather- he survives through everyone that carries on his lineage. Raul passed away at 89 years of age at Holy Cross Hospital in Nogales, Arizona after battling cancer for a year. He leaves a widow, Mrs. Dora H. Lopez, they were married for 66 years, and 3 daughters Dora Medina, Rosa Amelia Lopez Villa, Anna Maria Lopez, and son, Ernesto Lopez. We believe he will reunite with his late son Raul Lopez Jr who passed almost 39 years ago. His grandchildren will carry on his lineage- 1 granddaughter, Dora Elizabeth Medina, 6 grandsons, Daniel Medina Jr, Ernesto Castro Lopez, Garo and Eddie Castro Lopez, Raul Lopez, and Diego Medina, and 2 great granddaughters Julieta Medina, Sophia Medina, and future expecting great grandchildren. His surviving siblings include 3 sisters (Bertha Lopez, Angelina Jimenez, and Amelia Lopez) and 4 brothers (Marcos Lopez, Sergio Lopez, Jorge Lopez, and Oscar Lopez). He was preceded in death by his siblings Rene Lopez, Lily Yanez, and Aurelia Smith. Our father loved hunting with his brothers and spending time with family. We will deeply miss him
