Roberto S Ibarra

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Juan Roberto S. Ibarra, on March 4, 2026, at his home after a courageous battle with stomach cancer.

He is reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Cecilia S. Ibarra, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his children Laura Schoen (Charles Schoen), Cosme Ibarra (Irma Ibarra), Cecilia West, and Veronica Canchola; his grandchildren Daniel Ibarra (Renee Ibarra), Alejandra Hernandez (Jose Hernandez), Justin Ibarra, Valeria Ibarra, Viviana Ibarra, Brendon West, Eric West, Roque Canchola, Rudi Conchola; and great-grandchildren Jazmin Watson, Ian Ibarra, Victoria Ibarra, Nayeli Hernandez, Anahi Hernandez, Adrian Hernandez, Jacob West; his siblings Amalia Parra, Luis Hernan Ibarra (Carmen), Angel Ibarra (Vero), Rosita Ibarra, Jose Ibarra (Mireya) and Tere who will continue to honor his memory.

Roberto was a vibrant soul with a wonderful sense of humor who was always making us laugh. He was a very hardworking man who was deeply dedicated to his family and friends. Most of all, he was faithful and true to his love and adoration of God.

Throughout his life, Roberto served his community by volunteering as a catechism teacher. He took communion to the sick and to those at the Santa Cruz County Jail, gave pre-baptismal classes, and was always finding ways to help those in need. His legacy of faith, service, and kindness will forever live in our hearts.

A rosary will be held on Wednesday March 11th, 2026 at 1:30pm at Sacred Heart Parish. Funeral Mass will follow at 2pm, and Roberto will be laid to rest at Nogales Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
