William Jeffrey Bracker passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026 , he was 70 years old. He is survived by his sisters, Rebecca (Janos) Wilder, Carrie Bracker and Barbara(Bob)Sam, by his three nephews and one niece Benjamin Wilder, Aaron Hamer, Helena Sam and Cody Sam and 1 great-niece and 4 great- Nephews, Nya Sam, Eli Wilder, and Hugo, Hector and Rudy Hamer. He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Laurie Bracker, and his brother David Bracker.
William Jeffrey was born in Nogales on March 29th, 1955. He attended Bunny School, Lincoln School, Roosevelt Jr, High School in Nogales Arizona and received his high school degree from St. Marks School of Texas in Dallas, Texas. He continued his education at the Washington University in St. Louis. He received his bachelors degree from California Institute of the Arts in Santa Clarita, California. Jeffrey lived in Los Angeles after graduating College. He then decided he wanted to go back to Nogales to work in the family business, Bracker’s Department Store. After his father passed away he moved to Tucson to be close to his mother. He decided to try his hand at teaching with Barbie at Lineweaver Elementary School. He was able to connect with the students and it was very fulfilling for him. He then retired and took care of his mother Laurie until her passing. Jeffrey had many other talents. One of which was his passion for baking and cooking. He also made incredible desserts and dishes. In addition, Jeffrey was a gifted artist and storyteller. He loved to crochet, do needlepoint and cross stitch. He had a love for photography since a young age. He enjoyed making his own movies. He loved music. He sang with the Reveille Mens’ Chorus and was their president of for many years. Jeffrey truly enjoyed spending time with family throughout his life. He had an incredible relationship/friendship with all the different generations of his family.
His funeral will be at Adair’s Carroon Mortuary in Nogales, Arizona on Thursday, March 31st at 4:00 PM, Rabbi Malcolm Cohen officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society or PACC (Pima Animal Care Center-Animal Shelter).
